.
DAY SPA
Chi
(The Spa; 263 9621; Old Mill Rd; 9am-7pm)
The 90-minute 'Chi Balance' (a footbath with
five essential element oils) costs Rs 1325 - quite reasonable when compared to the in-
house spas at the surrounding hotels.
Sleeping
While there are a few larger hotels on the beach side of the main road, the majority of ac-
commodation here is made up of charming guesthouses and little hotels in the back
streets, a short walk from the town centre and public beach.

( 263 8868; casefle@intnet.mu; Beach Lane; studio/apt €40/45; )
Here you'll find a variety of stu-
dios and apartments for up to six people set in a flower-filled garden. Go for one of the

Bleu de Toi
( 269 1761;

; Royal Rd; r €78-112; )
Owned by friendly Belgians, this
lovely B&B is the area's only worthy contender in the guesthouse category. Rooms are
done up with simple yet tasteful furnishings and adorable arched doorways abound. Don't
miss the charming
table d'hôte
(€12 to €18) in the evenings. Blue de Toi is quite pricey
compared to the
chambres d'hôtes
in Pointe d'Esny, but it's highly recommended if you
want to stay in the north. Things also get cheaper the longer you stay.
