anglers and three companions). Remember their policy: 'All fish belong to the boat.

Solar Sea Walk

For nondivers, Captain Nemo's Under-
sea Walk provides the unique experience of walking underwater wearing a diver's helmet
and weight belt. Solar-powered pumps on the boat above feed oxygen to you during the
25-minute 'walk on the wet side'. Walks are available to everyone over the age of seven.
There are trips every few hours from 9am to 3pm. In peak season it's advisable to book a
day in advance.

Catamarans & Cruises
Catamaran day trips are the most popular activity in the north - most cruises depart from
Grand Baie. In general, we advise booking with a company that is licensed to set foot on
one of the northern islands. Prices range from €39 per person up to €65, and this should
include a full lunch, drinks and snorkelling apparel. Check out

Most operators also offer semisubmersible vessels for coral-viewing tours. Trips usu-
ally last just under two hours, with 30 minutes of snorkelling for those who wish to. Tick-
