Getting There & Away
BUS
Port Louis' two bus stations are both located in the city centre. Buses for northern and
eastern destinations, such as Trou aux Biches, Grand Baie and Pamplemousses, leave
from
Immigration Sq
, northeast of the Central Market. Buses for southern and western des-
tinations, such as Mahébourg, Curepipe and Flic en Flac, use the
Victoria Sq terminus
just
southwest of the city centre.
The first departure on most routes is at about 6am; the last leaves at around 6pm.
FERRY
Ferries to Rodrigues and Réunion dock beside the passenger terminal on Quai D of Port
Louis harbour, 1km northwest of town.
TAXI
Taxis from Port Louis to Grand Baie cost Rs 900. To Flic en Flac it's Rs 1000, to Mahé-
bourg it's Rs 1300 and to Belle Mare it's Rs 1600. If you'd prefer a private vehicle, con-
