reasonably priced, Le Capitaine serves up good if unexciting food on its pretty outdoor
terrace with great views back to the city centre. Seafood and Mauritian classics are on of-
fer, with the usual suspects such as chicken curry and grilled dorada in residence.

own pontoon on the harbour, The Deck wins plaudits for its setting which is slightly re-
moved from the clamour of the riverside bars and has good views. The food is good
without getting really interesting - the calamari vindaloo caught our eye, but the grilled
fish is also good.

Drinking & Nightlife
Port Louis is not exactly a happening place at night and come sunset the city is virtually
silent as commuters retire to the Central Plateau towns. What evening life there is tends to
be concentrated on Le Caudan Waterfront.
