Bourse, Grand Place Les Hauts, Grand Place, Cayenne, Les Lataniers and Îlet des
Orangers - a great way to immerse yourself in local culture and sample authentic rural
Réunionnais life. It's a four-day hike, but you can design a longer or shorter itinerary de-
pending on how pressed and how full of beans you are.
If time allows, you can rejoin the Haut Mafate itinerary. A path connects Îlet des
Orangers and Roche-Plate. From Les Lataniers, you can also get to Roche-Plate via the
Sentier Dacerle.
Highlights include spectacular landscapes consisting of precipitous mountain slopes
and steep-sided valleys.
