Many of Bucharest's restaurants are concentrated in the Old Town, with the rest spread
out all around the city. Self-caterers will want to head to the daily market on Piaţa Amzei,
with a good selection of fresh fruit and veg.

sporadic traditional song-and-dance numbers, Bucharest's oldest beer house continues to
draw in a strong local crowd. The colourful belle-epoque interior and stained-glass win-
dows dazzle, as does the classic Romanian food. Dinner reservations recommended.
