bus station in Ruse (10 lv, 1½ hours). Buses also head to Varna (9 lv, two hours, one or
two daily), Sofia (33 lv, six hours, three or four daily) and Shumen (10 lv, two to three
hours, two or three daily). From the
train station

, trains go to Ruse, via
Samuil (9.90 lv, five hours, three daily).
From Silistra port to Călăraşi (in Romania), a ferry operates every few hours (15/2 lv
per car/passenger). Fares are payable in euros or leva. Public transport on the Romanian
side is not reliable, so the border crossing at Ruse is probably easier.
