Sleeping & Eating
For its size, Pleven has a surprisingly poor choice of hotels and few decent restaurants.
There are, however, plenty of bars spread along the main pedestrian thoroughfare.

family hotel has ten smallish but comfortable rooms above a busy restaurant and bar,
some with balconies.

Hotel Rostov $$

socialist-era concrete tower in the city centre has been partially renovated and offers
small, serviceable rooms with TVs and fridges. Cheaper rooms, without air-con, are also
available. There's a restaurant and nightclub on-site.

(ul Konstantinov 23; pizzas 5-10 lv; ) On the main road, east of the main square, this is
an inviting place with a big menu of pizzas and pasta dishes.

Speedy Bar & Grill $
(ul Tsanko Tserkovski 17; mains 4-9 lv; 10am- midnight) Grills, steaks, sausages,
soups and salads are on the glossy illustrated menu at this city centre restaurant, which has
plenty of outdoor seating. It gets busy in the evenings.
