In-Depth Information
(cnr ul Cherno More & ul Hristo Botev; mains from 3.50 lv; ) This small, traditional
tavern in a quieter part of town serves up the usual range of Bulgarian specialities as well
as pizzas, salads and locally caught fish.
Getting There & Away
Primorsko's bus station, 1km from the town centre, is where all public transport arrives
and leaves. From here there are buses to Kiten (1 lv, 10 minutes, roughly every 30
minutes). There are six buses a day to Tsarevo (2.50 lv, 30 minutes) and several to Sozo-
pol (4.50 lv, 35 minutes). In addition, buses travel daily to Burgas (7 lv, one hour, every
30 minutes between 6am and 7pm). Around five buses a day also go to Sofia (30 lv, eight
hours).
Kiten
0550 / POP 950
Little Kiten, 5km south of Primorsko, is popular with Bulgarian tourists, and numerous
hotel complexes have risen up in recent years. There's no town centre as such, so all
shops, restaurants and hotels are dotted along the roads between the two beaches; the
biggest concentration is on ul Atliman, which is lined with restaurants and bars. Prices are
higher here than in Primorsko.
The northern Atliman Beach is along a horseshoe-shaped bay, one of the prettiest
along the Black Sea coast. Morski Beach to the south is sheltered and ideal for swimming
and has plenty of beachside cafes.
Sleeping & Eating
All the hotels listed have restaurants; try Eos Restaurant (mains 2-3 lv) for cheap grills
and salads.
