Carving
courses
for tourists are available: one/two/three days (six hours per day) cost 50/70/90 lv. Every even-
numbered year, the school also hosts the International Woodcarving Competition. See the local TIC for details on
both.
Sleeping
Along the first 200m of ul Angel Kânchev after the bus station rooms-for-rent are sign-
posted. The tourist office arranges private rooms for about 20 lv to 25 lv per person, in-
cluding breakfast.

is a friendly, family-run place in the centre, near the History Museum. The best of the
clean and comfortable rooms are the newer ones at the back. Breakfast costs 5 lv.

shiny Komplexs Tryavna has an excellent central location and very modern, though fairly
standard, accommodation. There are two restaurants, a fitness centre, a spa centre, a bar
and a garden cafe.

In the heart
of historic Tryavna near the clocktower, the Zograf occupies a renovated historic building.
The rooms are spotless and good value, though (unlike the National Revival building) are

Tryavna's luxury option includes a large outdoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi.
The breezy, spacious rooms are the town's best, though the 'superior' doubles are not con-
siderably better than the regular ones. It's up a steep hill, so better for drivers. The profes-
sional staff organise walking tours in the nearby hills.
