ted hills above Varosha, Bor offers small indoor and outdoor restaurants, a lobby bar, and
a small (and chilly!) indoor pool with Jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath and miniature fitness
room. The peaceful location is, however, the best asset. Drive or take a taxi (3 lv) over the
bridge and up the steep and winding ul Pirin (about 1km).
Eating
Blagoevgrad's eateries line the main square, along with the cafes, bars and clubs popular
with students.
Kristo Restaurant $
( 880 444; ul Komitrov; mains 4-8.50 lv; ) The Kristo Hotel's restaurant has outdoor
seating overlooking Vavedenie Presvetiya Bogoroditsi church, and serves good salads and
grilled meats - try the chicken shashlik.

tractive square-side setting, and serves good pizzas, pasta and grills.

shiny lobbyside setting lacks ambience, the Hotel Korona's restaurant does good grills
like tatarsko kiofte (minced hamburger stuffed with melted cheese), and is popular with
locals.

For Hollywood blockbusters, visit the widescreen Movie Max (pl Georgi Izmirliev Make-
doncheto) . The respected Vaptsarov Theatre ( 823 475; pl Georgi Izmirliev Make-
doncheto) and the Vaptsarov Chamber Opera ( 820 703; pl Makedonia) offer more
edifying entertainment, but they close during August.
Old Dublin Irish Pub
