Some agencies operate at the Central Bus Station, offering services to Istanbul (50 to 60
lv, 18 hours), Athens (108 lv, 12 hours) and elsewhere, although most are now found at
the Trafik Market (Avtogara Serdika; www.avtogara-serdika.com ; bul Maria Luisa;
1, 7) , also known as Serdika Bus Station , immediately in front of the central train station.
There are numerous kiosks here representing all the major companies such as Eurolines
( www.eurolines.bg ) and Union-Ivkoni ( www.union-ivkoni.bg ) , which sell tickets on buses
to destinations all over Europe.
Eurotours ( 932 2310; www.eurotours.bg ; basement, central train station) also sells
tickets for international destinations, including daily trips to Belgrade (39 lv, eight hours),
Bucharest (52 lv, eight to nine hours) and Skopje (32 lv, six hours)
Matpu-96 ( www.matpu.com ; Trafik Market) offers some of the best services to Greece
and other Balkan countries, including Macedonia and Serbia. There is another office at ul
Damyan Gruev 23.
It pays to shop around, though, as different companies offer different prices.
