Mamaia is known around the country for its vibrant party scene. In season, the clubs de-
camp from Constanţa and reopen en masse on the coast, filling the air with the beat of
dance music nightly, starting at around 10pm and continuing until the wee hours.
Crazy Beach
( 0726-779 292; www.crazybeach.ro ; B-dul Mamaia Nord; 8am-1am) One of the
hottest clubs in Mamaia in 2012 was this open-air lounge and cocktail bar, situated in the
extreme north of Mamaia, about 4km beyond the northern telegondola station. Take a taxi
(about 10 lei from central Mamaia).

Megalos
( 0730-070 114; 9pm-3am Jun-Sep) A perennial on the Mamaia summer scene, Me-
galos is situated in the centre of the resort, about 100m south of the northern telegondola
station. If this club doesn't appeal, there are several others nearby.

Information
Mamaia lacks an official tourist information office, but stop in at Mistral Tours for basic
information and to help book accommodation. There are plenty of ATMs and pharmacies
along the main promenade.

Sat) This helpful travel agency, located at the southern end of Mamaia's telegondola line,
should be your first port of call. Staff can help find accommodation, plan day trips and ex-
cursions, including to the Danube Delta and Bulgarian Black Sea coast, and sell the Con-
stanţa City Pass ( Click here ) .
Post office (Mamaia; 8am-8pm Mon-Fri) Located 200m south of the northern telegon-
dola station on the promenade.
Getting There & Away
Frequent maxitaxis (2 lei, 15 minutes) ply the route between central Constanţa and Ma-
maia from June to September. Maxitaxis 301 and 303 depart regularly from Constanţa's
