Getting There & Away
There's regular ferry and hydrofoil service between Tulcea and Sulina (see Click here ).
The ferry port (Str I) is on the eastern end of the main promenade (Str I), about 100m
east of the centre. While it's not possible to access Sulina by road from Tulcea, you can
get to Sfântu Gheorghe (30km south) by dirt road. There's no commercial minibus service
so you'll have to negotiate with a local taxi (around 250 lei). Sfântu Gheorghe is around
three hours away by slow boat. There's no ferry service; instead try to deal with a local
fisherman. Expect to pay anywhere from 300 to 500 lei for the trip.
