There's a string of cafes, kebab places and fast-food joints as well as a big supermarket to
pick up provisions along Str Unirii in the centre.

Though it's a couple of blocks
away from the port and lacks any buzz to speak of, this is still the best restaurant in town.
The multilingual, varied menu offers fresh fish, pizza and the local speciality,
tochitura
dobrogeana
(pan-fried meat with spicy sauce).

taurant a couple of blocks away from the port draws a mostly local crowd for beers, well-
done pork dishes and fresh fish.

Excellent spot for good thin-crust pizza and fast pasta.

This is the best watering hole in
the immediate port area, with great coffee drinks by day and Guinness and Skol wheat
beer during the evening. Draws a mostly local student and arty (for Tulcea) crowd.
Information
Banks and ATMs are found everywhere in the main commercial area around Str Babadag.
There was no internet cafe at the time of research. The Hotel Select has a computer ter-
minal off the lobby.
