(Str Ioan Mihaly de Apşa; mains 10 lei; 7am-9pm) This rustically accented restaurant
is hung with cowbells and lanterns and makes for a magical departure from the rest of
Sighet's offerings. It's also lovely and cool in high summer. Gyros, cold meat platters,
breakfast and grilled nape of pork.
Casa Iurca $$

(Str Dragoş Vodă 14; mains 20-35 lei; 9am-11pm; ) In a leafy courtyard, carved

Casa Veche $$
Offline map
(Str Iuliu Maniu 27; mains 14-30 lei; 8am-11pm) Probably the busiest joint in town,
Casa has a bubbly terrace come evening, and an elegant, high-ceilinged interior be-
smirched by pumping Euro-pop and (sorry!) a stratosphere of smoke. Succulent steaks,
salads and huge pizza.
