This beautiful and well-maintained hotel is fully worth the splurge, especially if you're
travelling during the hot summer and have kids in tow. The rooms are spotless and well-
maintained, but the major drawcard is a gorgeous heated (and child-friendly) pool straight
out of a Hollywood mansion. Swim into the night and dine on the terrace.

It's nearly impossible to book a room at this clean and way-too-popular family-run
hotel. The location, 10 minutes' walk from the train station, is convenient if you're com-
ing by train. The rooms are small but tidy; some have balconies over the garden. The out-
door restaurant is the most festive place in town for an evening meal.

This modern hotel
boasts an excellent location, right on Calea Republicii in the centre of town. There's no re-
ception; instead book over the hotel website or by phone. The building is an art nouveau
palace in need of renovation, but the rooms themselves have been given a stylish update
and are clean, quiet and comfortable.

renovated art nouveau villa that sports enormous rooms equipped with beds the size of
trampolines and their own full-sized bars (BYO drinks). Unfortunately, the slightly over-
exuberant contemporary style doesn't exactly fit the character of the building. Still, stand-
ards are high and the big rooms are good value for money.
