Franciscan Church

(Biserica Franciscanilor) On the eastern side of Piaţa Muzeului is a beautifully decorated
15th-century Franciscan church, one of the city's oldest structures. Services are held in
Hungarian.

Transylvania, which dates from 1859, was still closed at research time, with no set re-
opening date.
In these halls you will eventually again see a mummy from Egypt, lots of Roman
pieces, ghoulish remains of three humans from the area's first tombs (they were probably
Indo-Europeans, as Dacians cremated corpses), and a map that tries to make sense of mi-
gration in the area.

charged birthplace of Matthias Corvinus, a 15th-century Hungarian king.

joints up Str Bogdan P Haşdeu to Str Pasteur to reach these fragrant 1930 gardens.
