cobbled, wilting alley this friendly
pensiune
has six pleasant rooms with some tasty
touches such as blood-red chairs and a smattering of art, as well as a shaded patio for
breakfast (15 lei extra). They forgot to spend much time on the en suites, sadly.

Super rooms with parquet flooring, minimal but tasteful furnishings, and well-chosen art-
work. There are flat-screens, armoires, bureaus and fresh-looking en suites. Overlooking
the Evangelical Church and Piaţa Mică.

quiet street in the Lower Town, so you might have to knock on the door a few times to get
an answer. Within its flowery courtyard there are eight basic rooms with a rustic signature.
Owner Ella is a welcoming host and there's a nice garden and chalet to read in.

custard-yellow digs are set in a cheerless square 10 minutes' walk into the ugly side of
town. It gets better inside though with a bizarre quasi Venetian cafe, and very appealing
white en suite rooms with oxblood carpets and dark-wood furniture.
