student 10/2.50 lei; 10am-6pm Tue-Sun) A 15-minute walk southwest of the centre,
this museum has a collection of muskets and stuffed heads. At the southern end of this
street is the Sub Arini Park filled with tree-lined avenues, a tennis court and a swimming
pool (open from May to September). There is also a Municipal Stadium , where Sibiu's
football team plays.
Astra Museum of Traditional Folk Civilisation
(Muzeul Civilizaţiei Populare Tradiţionale Astra; Calea Răşinarilor 14; adult/child 15/
3.50 lei; museum 10am-6pm Tue-Sun, gift shop 9am-5pm Tue-Sun) Five kilometres
from the centre, this sprawling open-air museum has a dazzling 120 traditional dwellings,
mills and churches brought from around the country and set among two small lakes and a
tiny zoological garden. Many are signed in English, with maps showing where the struc-
tures came from. There's also a nice gift shop and restaurant with creekside bench seats.
Trolleybus 1 from the train station goes there (get off at the last stop and keep walking for
under 1km, or take the hourly Răşinari tram for a couple of stops). Taxi here from the
centre is about 12 lei.

Sport rents bikes (about 23 lei a day), as well as skis in winter. It also sells packs and
boots, and repairs bikes.
