With its 16th-century facade, stained-glass windows and darkly cavernous lobby,
you half expect to be greeted by a Count. Rooms are large and mustard-coloured with ca-
pacious beds, flat-screens, arched ceilings and immaculate bathrooms. Rooms on the 3rd
and 4th floors have air-con.

The floors are so clean at this four-room, one-dorm guesthouse, you could
eat your lunch off them. En-suite rooms are spearmint white, plus there's an idyllic garden
bursting with flowers. The dining/self-catering area is welcoming, and should you need it,
there's a laundry service.
It also rents bikes (45 lei per day) and arranges day trips to Biertan and other Saxon vil-
lages. Peaceful.

Basic Burg is ubiquitously wood-walled
with a number of cosy rooms - the triples have the most space. Single rooms are ad-
equate. There's a bar downstairs, plus a pleasant courtyard to read in.
