What's Next?
In this chapter, we introduced the HTML
<video>
tag and showed some basic ways that it
could be used on an HTML page, including how to manipulate loaded video in numerous
ways. While we showed you how to do some pretty cool stuff with the video and HTML5
Canvas, we went on to show you new ways to capture video and use it on the canvas. This
is really just the tip of the iceberg. We believe that these two very powerful and flexible new
featuresofHTML5(videoandthecanvas)willprovetobeaverypotentcombinationforweb
applications of the future. In the next chapter, we will dive into HTML5 audio and how it can
be used with applications created on the canvas.
