Press and hold the
Move Forward
arrow on the Panel. The avatar moves for-
ward along the path. You can increase or decrease the avatar speed using the
Rabbit and Turtle icons.
15.
Click the
Go Home
icon after reaching the endpoint of the path. The avatar
is positioned at the start point.

Click the
Toggle Record
icon on the Panel. The
Record
section appears.
17.
Click the
Record
icon in the
Record
section and navigate through the model.
18.
Click
OK
on the Panel after reaching the end of the path.
19.
On the PropertyManager, click
Play Recording
icon.
20.
Close the
Record
panel after the avatar reaches the path end. If the video looks
good, then proceed further to generate the video.
21.
On the PropertyManager,
Generate Video
icon, type-in the name, specify
the file type and location, and then click
Save
.
22.
Select the
Video Compression
option and click
OK
.
23.
Click
OK
on the PropertyManager.
TUTORIAL 15 (Decals)
SOLIDWORKS allows you to add images such as logos to your model by using the Decals
option. Adding decals makes the rendered model look more realistic.
Adding the default Decals to the Model
1.
Open the Tutorial 15 part file.
2.
Click the DisplayManager tab, click the
View Decals
icon, and then click
Open Decal Library
button. You can also click the
Appearances, Scenes, and
Decals
tab on the Task pane and select the
Decals
folder.
3.
Click and drag the
Recycling
decal from the Task pane onto the model.
