A string of sandy, compact camp sites (per person $7) line the coast within the park. Facilities
and shade are minimal, though most have toilets and some shelter from prevailing winds.
To avoid long peak-season queues (from 7am!) at the park entrance station, consider pre-
booking a site (at least 48 hours ahead) through the DEC. Only certain sites can be booked
online; the rest are allocated upon arrival at the entrance station (not the visitor centre!) -
ask for a generator-free site if you're after peace and quiet.
