9 Western Australia has 96 national parks, not counting dozens of other nature reserves
and regional parks. These special places present oodles of opportunities to go walkabout on
the many waymarked trails, and camp in isolated spots. The Bibbulmun Track ( Click here )
, the mother of them all, starts on the outskirts of Perth and heads nearly 1000km to Albany
on the south coast, sheltered by the cooling giant eucalypts of the southern forests. At the
Valley of the Giants ( Click here ) you can walk through the canopy on the 40m-high Tree
Top Walk.
