[1] The Swiss Federation protects the liberty and
rights of the people and safeguards the
independence and security of the country.

Right of Petition, SR 101.33
[1] Every person has the right to address petitions to
authorities; no disadvantages may arise from
using this right.
[2] The authorities have to take cognizance of
petitions.
