The river rises suddenly when hydroelectric dams upstream are opened, making it impos-
sible to cross. Stay on marked trails! Check water levels and weather before embarking.
Roads close due to rock falls and/or snow; watch for falling rocks year-round. Buy petrol
whenever you see it.

The largest of the lakes in Parc National Régional du Verdon,

surfers, canoes, kayaks - to rent. Pretty Bauduen sits on its southeastern banks.
