lunch Sun; ) The only restaurant outside Avignon open after 10pm, this hard-to-find
pizzeria has a wood-fired oven, kids' toys and a local crowd that likes to drink. From
Orange, go 3km south on rte de Châteauneuf (D68); cross under autoroute, and turn right
onto tiny Chemin de la Gironde (look for the sign); keep bearing right.

BUS The bus station ( 04 90 34 15 59; 201 cours Pourtoules) is at the east end of
cours Pourtoules, opposite the post office, on blvd Édouard Daladier. Trans Vaucluse ( ht-
tp://vaucluse.fr ) buses, operated by Cars Lieutaud ( www.cars-lieutaud.fr ) , serve Avignon
(€2, 45 minutes) and Vaison-la-Romaine (€2, 45 minutes).
TRAIN Orange's train station ( www.voyages-sncf.com ; av Frédéric Mistral) is 1.5km
east of town centre and has services to Avignon (€5.80, 20 minutes), Marseille (€23, 1½
hours), Marseille Airport (Vitrolles station; €20, 1½ hours) and Lyon (€29.30, 2¼ hours).
