Espace de l'Art Concret
( www.espacedelartconcret.fr ; place Suzanne de Villeneuve, Mouans-Sartoux; adult/child
€5/free; 11am-7pm Jul & Aug, noon-6pm Wed-Sun Sep-Jun) Modern-art and architec-
ture lovers shouldn't miss this contemporary-art centre, housed in the 16th-century
Château de Mouans and the purpose-built Donation Albers-Honegger extension, a bril-
liant and brilliantly controversial lime-green concrete block ferociously clashing with its
historic surroundings. All the old familiars (Eduardo Chillida, Yves Klein, Andy Warhol,
César, Philippe Starck) are here, along with lesser-known practitioners and temporary ex-
hibitions.
COMBINED TICKET
If you're planning on visiting both the Musée International de la Parfumerie and the Jardins du MIP, you can buy a
combined ticket for €5, which includes a bus ticket between Grasse and the gardens (bus 20 or 21).

B&B
( 04 92 92 29 64; www.lesrosees.com ; 238 chemin de Font Neuve, Mougins; d
€220-320; ) Chic and authentic is its tagline, and it couldn't be more accurate. This
stunning, 400-year-old stone manor house with five romantic suites, pool, spa and
century-old olive trees is a gem. The decor is a stunning mix of modern and vintage (so
much so that the owners now have their own interior-design venture), and breakfast is a
copious organic affair.
The Serguey suite, with its glass fireplace (watch the open fire from your lounge or
bathtub), is simply divine for winter breaks, while Isadora, with its stunning terrace, is the
pick of the house in summer.
