Domaine des Courmettes

Apr-Oct, 10am-5pm Fri-Wed Nov-Mar) This nature reserve on the lofty Plateau des Cour-
mettes is home to millennia-old holly oaks and rare birds. There are three lovely trails to
explore the reserve; they all start from the visitor centre, which is in a beautiful old farm-
house. There is a small cafe too that sells freshly baked bread at the weekend.
Domaine Saint-Joseph

The friendly owners of this small winery and olive-oil producer will happily show you
around their estate and answer questions about wine and olive-oil production. You can
taste and/or buy their wines (red, white and rosé) and excellent olive oil (part of Nice
AOP; Appelation d'Origine Protégée certifies the origin and quality of the oil).
The Domaine is 2km southwest of Tourrettes, signposted off rte de Grasse.

Active types will love the tennis courts, pétanque pitch and bicycles, while those keen
for a more relaxing afternoon will prefer the spa and view-commanding loungers.
