During the summer, especially if you're travelling at night or a long distance, it's best

international rail listings across Europe, while seat61.com is another excellent source of
information.
Finally, whenever you board an international train in Europe, check the route of the car
you are in, since trains frequently split, with different carriages going to different destina-
tions.
