ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: ST PETERSBURG
By plane International flights arrive at Pulkovo Airport ( 812 704 3444), Terminal 2. Take
a shuttle bus (#K3 or #113; R30) or city bus #13 (both modes approximately every 15min)
three stops from the end of the metro line (Moskovskaya). Shuttle bus #K3 continues on to
Sennaya in the centre of town.
By train Services from Helsinki use Finland station (Findlyanskiy vokzal) at Pl. Lenina 6
(Ploshchad Lenina). Trains from Rīga and Vilnius terminate at Vitebsk station (Vitebskiy
vokzal) on Zagorodny Prospekt (Pushkinskaya). Trains from Moscow draw into Moscow
station (Moskovskiy vokzal) on Pl. Vosstaniya (Ploshchad Vosstaniya).
Destinations Helsinki (standard service: 1 daily; 6hr 30min; Sapsan express: 2 daily; 3hr
30min); Moscow (standard service: 13 daily; 7-9hr; Sapsan express: up to 5 daily; 4hr);
Rīga (1 daily; 13hr); Vilnius (1 daily; 13hr).
By bus Most buses arrive at the central bus station, Nab. Obvodnogo kanala 36, Obvodny
kanal. Buses from the Baltic States use Baltiyskiy station at Nab. Obvodnogo kanala 120,
Baltiyskaya. You can purchase bus tickets online via Lux Express ( luxexpress.eu ) or at
the ticket office by the bus station to the Baltic States. Scandinavia (call 901 314 56 74 to
book, scandinavia.spb.ru ) run minibuses to Helsinki, departing from the corner of Ligov-
sky Prospekt and Nevsky prospekt by Hotel Oktyabrskaya (Ploshchad Vosstaniya).
Destinations Helsinki (3 daily; 6hr); Moscow (21 daily; 10-12hr); Rīga (9 daily; 10hr);
Tallinn (10 daily; 6hr); Tartu (3 daily; 6hr); Warsaw (5 daily; 26hr).
Byferry St.PeterLine( stpeterline.com ) operatesferriesyear-round(exceptinJan)toHel-
sinki and then on to Stockholm and Tallinn. They dock at the Morskoy vokzal, Morskoy
Slavy 1 (Vasilieostrovskaya), at the western end of Vasilevskiy Island (metro or minibus
from the centre).
