ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: MOSCOW
By plane
Flights from Western Europe arrive either at Sheremetyevo, 30km north of the
centre, or Domodedovo, 45km to the south. Aeroexpress trains run between Shremetyevo
and Belorusskiy station, connected to Belorusskaya, on the green and brown lines (every
30min5am-12.30am;35min;R320).TrainstoandfromDomodedovoservePaveletsky sta-
tion(every30min6am-midnight;50min;R320)whichisconnectedto Paveletskaya;shuttle
buses run between Domodedovo and Domodedovskaya (every 15min 6am-midnight,
hourly midnight-6am; 30min; R120), 20km south of the centre.
By train
All mainline stations are conveniently located by a metro station. Trains from Vil-
nius and Warsaw arrive at Belorusskiy station (Belorusskiy vokzal, Tverskaya Zastava pl.
7; Belorusskaya) while Rizhsky station (Rizhsky vokzal, Rizhskaya pl. 79/3; Rizhskaya)
servesLatviandestinationssuchasRīga.Leningradskystation(Leningradskyvokzal,Kom-
somolskaya pl. 3; Komsomolskaya) is the departure point for frequent trains to St Peters-
burg; Kievsky station (Kievsky vokzal, Kievskogo vokzala pl. 2; Kievskaya) is the final
destinationfortrainsfromKievandOdessa,whileYaroslavskystation(Yaroslavskyvokzal,
Komsomolskaya pl. 5; Komsomolskaya) is the starting point for trans-Siberian adventures.

Ecolines buses from Germany and the Baltic States terminate at Leningradskiy pr.
37/6 (near Dinamo), 6km north of the city centre, or Rizhsky Station (Rizhskaya), 8km
to the north. Moscow's main bus station with intercity departures is at Uralskaya ul. 2 (
Shcholkovskaya),16kmnortheastofthecitycentre.Mostlong-distanceforeigndestinations
require a change at Rīga.
