Begin your walk in Temple Bar, at the corner of Parliament St and Essex Gate, once a main entrance gate to the
city. A
bronze plaque
on a pillar marks the spot where the gate once stood. Further along, you can see the ori-
ginal foundations of Isolde's Tower through a grill in the pavement, in front of the pub of the same name.
Head west down Essex Gate and West Essex St until you reach Fishamble St; turn right towards the quays and
