the photograph is set in an airy three-level space overlooking Meeting House Sq. It features
a constantly changing menu of local and international work, and while it's a little too small
to be considered a really good gallery, the downstairs shop is well stocked with all manner
of photographic tomes and manuals.

all city centre) F This multistoried gallery showcases the works of dozens of up-and-coming
Irish artists at any one time, and is a great spot to see cutting-edge Irish art across a range
of media. The gallery runs occasional open days when you can explore the work of artists
beavering away in the studios that are part of the complex.
ARK CHILDREN'S CULTURAL CENTRE

14, the Ark is enormously popular - and perpetually booked out. The centre runs age-spe-
cific activities aimed at stimulating participants' interests in science, the environment and
the arts. The centre also has an open-air stage for summer events.

source putting a face on all facets of Irish history is actually a sadly disappointing archive
of photographs taken from the 19th century onwards. Its visitor-friendly catalogue is com-
puter accessible and the eager staff are always willing to help with queries, but the avail-
able material is not nearly as extensive as we'd hoped.
