live-music venue was one of the best places to wind down over a pint and a chat, until it
closed its doors for a major refurb. What it'll become is anyone's guess - we just hope that
it keeps its old-fashioned ambience.

one of the favourite places for the city's talented musicians to display their wares, with ses-
sions as good as any you'll hear in the city centre. Highly recommended.

Ireland you don't go clubbing; you go to 'the disco', and Copper's is the capital's very own
version of it, offering unvarnished mayhem to the throngs that want to spend the evening
drinking, dancing to familiar tunes and - hopefully - going home accompanied. Purists
may scoff, but it's a formula that works a treat judging by its popularity.

centre) Part of the magnificent 18th-century Powerscourt complex, Lost Society offers two
distinct nightlife experiences for the price of one ticket. Upstairs, spread across three levels
and a host of rooms, the music is eclectic and the crowd beautifully self-aware. Downstairs
is the Bassment, where the music is thumping and the dancing is hot and sweaty.
