here - the tostados and taquitos are great nibbles, or the perfect accompaniment for a
tequila fest (they serve 22 different types); the mains are all prepared on a wood-burning
grill and include a sensation tuna steak and a mouth-watering Iberico pork flank.

9am-10pm Sun) This exceptional Italian eatery delights its regulars with a basic menu of rus-
tic pleasures, such as panini , a single pasta dish and a superb plate of mixed antipasto
drizzled in olive oil. It's always full, and the tables are just that little bit too close to one
another, but the coffee is perfect and the desserts are sinfully good.

12.30-11pm; ) Hip, inexpensive and generally pretty good, Yamamori rarely disappoints
with its bubbly service and vivacious cooking that swoops from sushi and sashimi to
whopping great plates of noodles, with plenty in between. The lunch bento is one of the
best deals in town and draws them in from offices throughout the area.
It's a great spot for a sociable group - including vegetarians - although you'll have to
book at the weekend to be one of the happy campers. There's another branch north of the
river.

popular chain dishes up some terrific Japanese food nonetheless. Production -line rice and
noodle dishes served pronto at canteen-style tables mightn't seem like the most inviting
way to dine, but boy this food is good, and the basement it's served up in is surprisingly
light and airy - for a place with absolutely no natural light.
