Downstairs, Honest to Goodness serves whole-
some sandwiches, tasty soups and a near-legendary Sloppy Joe. Upstairs, Push 88 is Honest
after dark, specialising in meatballs dished a whole variety of ways - with salad, sweet
potato mash or between two slices of homemade bread. Great food and great fun in a terrif-

Dublin's answer to the American Dean and Deluca chain is this upmarket food
hall and wine cellar, which is where discerning Dubliners come to buy their favourite
cheeses and imported delicacies, as well as get a superb lunch-to-go from the deli counter.
Sandwiches and a range of excellent dishes from lamb cous cous to vegetarian lasagne

regular cafe that serves excellent sandwiches and coffee. By night it is Brioche Ce Soir,
where classically trained chef Gavin McDonagh engages the full range of his skills with a
series of French tasting plates, all made with locally sourced ingredients and served in a
wonderful brasserie atmosphere. A hidden treat.

rival on the scene, this lovely cafe opted for a 'downtown baroque' decor and a menu that
specialises in gourmet pitta sandwiches. Our favourite is the pittalicious (Parma ham and
gorgonzola) served with a rocket-and-cous-cous salad. Linger a while and take advantage
of the free wi-fi.
