Wyndham's lower-key sister is slated to become a Baha Mar property, and its 694 rooms
have already been upgraded accordingly. Style is crisp and nautical, with lots of white,
khaki and navy blue. The property is chockablock with resort activities and amenities: three
pools with flowing waterfalls, a swim-up bar, several restaurants, a fitness center, a kids'
camp (ages 4 to 12) and an interior walkway to the Wyndham's casino.
Marley Resort

$495-900; ) Bob Marley's old Bahamian getaway is now an intimate 16-room
boutique hotel run by his wife and daughter (though they spend most of their time in Ja-
maica). Rooms, each named after a Marley song, are spare-no-expense luxurious - hand-
carved mahogany furniture, rich linens, original Africana art. The place does have a bit of
a fan club feel, with a room dedicated to Marley photos and a boutique hawking rasta wear.
Cable Beach is a short walk away.

) Popular with families and retirees on long vacations, these rental villas have a
ski chalet vibe - beamed roofs, slope-ceilinged sleeping lofts. Grounds are neatly trimmed,
management is friendly, and the two pools are always hopping with guests sipping icy
cocktails from the on-site bar.

sort, part of the Sandals chain. Everything's included - food, booze, trips to the resort's
private island - so you can focus on gettin' romantic.
