colony of beach cabanas, and their friendliness has earned them a loyal following of repeat
guests. A small wooden restaurant, perched on stilts above the sand, is the Seascape's heart,
where visitors shoot the breeze, play pub games and read battered paperbacks from the
book exchange. Outside, you can play with the dogs, borrow kayaks, bikes and snorkel
gear, or simply lounge on the silvery sand. The five blue cabanas are cheery and rustic,
with tiled floors and ceiling fans.

South Andros
Virtually bypassed by tourists, South Andros has superb bonefishing and some extraordin-
ary silver-and-pink beaches. Look out for Androsian iguanas, which can grow to 5ft in
length and dwell in scattered coppices.
Poverty is highly visible here, as there's little industry besides lobstering, crabbing and
sponging.
