Island Palm Resort MOTEL $
( 242-352-6648; www.islandpalm.com ; cnr Explorers Way & E Mall Dr; r $79;
) There's nothing remotely resort-like about this character-free downtown motel, but it's
cheap, clean and convenient to the airport. A free daily bus takes guests, mostly young,
party-happy Spring Breakers on internet package trips, to the beach.
Lucaya
Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort RESORT $$
( 242-373-1333; www.ourlucaya.com ; Seahorse Rd, Port Lucaya; Radisson r from
$176, Reef Village r $159; ) Incorporating two hotels, the Radisson and the
Reef Village, this perfectly coiffed beachfront complex hogs the best views of stunning Lu-
caya Beach. The resort sits on 7.5 acres and incorporates numerous restaurants, bars, spas,
a casino, and multiple swimming pools of every style and variety, all directly across the
street from the action of Port Lucaya Marketplace. The ambience at the pricier Radisson
is a bit more sophisticated and low-key; check out the 'Manor House' lobby with its tall
potted palms, rattan armchairs and cigar lounge. The Reef Village is unabashedly family-
friendly, with a sand playground, massive wading pool, and kids' camp. Price at both hotels
fluctuate wildly; the best deals can usually be found online.
