Now, back in your scene setup window, select the surface for our lamp glass and
go to the Normal Bump section. Instead of clicking on the words in the requestor,
select the down arrow this time and select Custom Layer 1 [Fractal] (as shown in
the following screenshot). Then, lower your Amount to 28 percent and click on OK .
Boom, you have created your first bump using AEX layers! Now imagine, you can
use footage, precomps, and moreā€”all of these for any texture map. So, you can go
create a glass with a video playing on it, pulsing abstract shapes, or anything your
heart desires:
