FiGuRe 3.3 One example of a flowchart
In this flowchart example of a nonlinear type of gameplay, a series of paths
are plotted out for the character. The character can risk travelling directly to the
boss to see if they can defeat it, or take a different route to complete more tasks
and level up a bit more. If the character takes the longer route and completes
tasks, they may choose to tackle the boss or bypass it and go to find Bosko.
