Axonometric views can be isometric, diametric, or trimetric. The most com-
mon type of axonometric projection, know as isometric views , projects three-
dimensional space onto a two-dimensional picture plane, as do diametric and
trimetric; however, the face sizes are equal. This projection again allows for infi-
nite scrolling over the background. Isometric is also known as 3/4 perspective .
All three faces are drawn on the same scale, as shown in Figure 5.8, and the
axes are oriented at the same angle to the projection.
