armor, or weapons your figure would wear or carry, along with a description of their
personality and a list of their abilities. After writing this attributes list, loosely sketch
what your character would look like. Does your character look like it could be and do all
the things you assigned to it in your list?
Write loglines for your own game or games you've played. Review the four questions from
the “Writing the Story” section of this chapter to use as a guide:
Who is the main character?
What does this character want?
What is going to try to stop the main character?
What about the game is unique or compelling?
Part of this fun exercise can include reading existing loglines from movies, TV shows, or
games and then trying to guess what the project is.
