The effective multi-level comprehensive utilization of the metabolic waste is one of the most
typical features in theTianguanmode. Tianguan Group has optimized the utilization of a variety of
wastes through building an eco-industrial chain, which has significantly reduced environmental
pollution. Take the resource reuse of fuel ethanol waste liquid as an example. The major pollutant
generated during the production of fuel ethanol is waste liquid, which is an organic solution of
high concentration. Tianguan Group uses lees to make DDG protein feed and biogas technology
to turn the waste into treasure, and therefore has raised its utilization value, and meanwhile, it has
reduced the COD effluent, which is of great significance to the protection of the regional river
water quality.
Through waste recycling, the fuel ethanol production from wheat and the production rate of
its relative industries will be raised. For example, the rate of lees waste utilization reaches 100%,
and the rate of water cycle utilization reaches above 98%, and therefore the structural pollution
of the regional alcohol industry will significantly improve.
9.3.3 The recycling economic diagram and its analysis of this case
Figure 9.2 Tianguan Group fuel ethanol recycling economic mode with wheat raw materials as
its materials.
Similar to natural eco-systems, fuel ethanol eco-industrial systems are formed by produc-
ers, consumers, decomposers, and the external environment. Wheat, fuel ethanol and related
companies and environmental comprehensive management are its basic composing units, which
form a horizontal coupling and vertical closed flexible network through material exchange and
energy flow.
The cornfield subsystemmainly provides basic rawmaterials for fuel ethanol enterprises, which
is the “producer” of the fuel ethanol eco-industrial system. Wheat bran and wheat gluten flour mill
and fuel ethanol enterprises take wheat as initial rawmaterials to produce wheat bran, wheat gluten
flour and fuel ethanol, which are primary “consumers” of the fuel ethanol eco-industrial system,
while other companies takes the “waste” generated during the fuel ethanol production process as
raw material for production activities, to be called sub-prime “consumers”. The environmental
comprehensive management system carries on recovery, decomposition, reuse and recycling to
the waste generated among each production link in the fuel ethanol industrial symbiotic system or
during the production process, and in fact acts as “decomposers” in the fuel ethanol eco-industrial
system.
