To add a more advanced dimension to the game, you can also bet on Come
and Don't Come. The Come point is established directly after the Pass point. Let's
say a shooter rolls a 5 for the point. The next roll is an 8, which becomes known
as the Come point. As the shooter continues to roll, the goal is similar to Pass bets:
If a 7 or 11 is thrown, Come wins, Don't Come loses. If a 2 or 3 is rolled, Come
loses, Don't Come wins. If a 12 pops up Come loses and Don't Come ties. If an
8 is thrown before a 7, Come wins, and Don't Come loses.
The Odds Bet on a craps table is known as one of the best bets in gambling.
It's so good that it's not marked on the table like the sucker bets—it's just for those
in the know. For the actual odds (on which the payoff for the odds bet is based)
and possible winning combinations at the table, see the Craps Odds chart below.

As you can see by the chart, there are more combinations that add up to 7 than
any other number (6 to be exact), and that's what will come up most often. On
the other hand, 2 and 12 will be rolled with the least frequency. To place an Odds
Bet, place your wager behind your Pass Line or Come bet, between the rolls of the
dice. Say you bet $5 on the odds and the shooter rolls a 4. Because the odds of a
7 coming up before the 4 are 2 to 1—that is, there are six ways to make a 7 ver-
sus three ways to make a 4—you get paid those odds, in addition to the even
money for your Pass Line bet.
