In-Depth Information
make a welcome contrast to the dry and dusty hills of Ajloun. Just about negotiable by car
along a very steep but graded road, this wonderful B&B is situated in a lush wadi with its
own orchards. All the furniture in the two bedrooms and shared bathroom and sitting
room are made from recycled wood. The highlight of the stay, however, is breakfast,
rustled up by the ladies of the cooperative who run a commercial kitchen on site produ-
cing goods for the RSCN's Wild Jordan Nature Shops. The thyme, olives, cheese and jam
are all locally sourced. The Biscuit House is 1.5km from the Soap House on the main road
in Orjan.

Information
At the entrance to the reserve is a modest visitor centre ( dawn-dusk) with a helpful re-
ception where you'll find information and maps on the reserve and its flora and fauna.
There is also a Nature Shop selling locally produced handicrafts.
You should book accommodation and meals in advance with the RSCN through its
Wild Jordan Centre in Amman ( Click here ) . If you're planning to take a guided hike, it's
also a good idea to book. Guided hikes require a minimum of four people and start from
around JD10 per person, depending on the choice of trail.
