various business requirements. The Grid defines re-usability for high
performance computing.

The Cloud owned by a single physical organization, who allocates resources to
different running instances. The Grid defines the resource sharing to form the
virtual organization.

Grid is better for applications that are large and need large amount of computing
power. Whereas cloud computing is recommended when there are large amount
of applications asking for comparatively less computing power.

The Cloud and Grid both provide data storage. The Amazon S3 is a cloud storage
service provider in which data objects containing 1 byte to 5 GB of data can be
stored. Storage in the data grid is efficient for data-intensive storage, it is not
efficient for storing 1 byte small objects.
