warned, however, that booking cabins
on a port-to-port basis from May to

SUGGESTED ITINERARIES
If You Have 1 Week
Day 1 Fly to Oslo, check into your
hotel, and begin to get acquainted
with the city of Oslo. For your
arrival, we suggest you don't begin
with a round of museum hopping
as you recover from jet lag, but opt
for more leisurely activities. For
lunch (if you arrive in time), head
down to the port and purchase a
batch of fresh shrimp from the fish-
ermen who pull their boats into the
harbor. That afternoon, take our
walking tour of historic Oslo to
familiarize yourself with all the
monuments and the general layout
before you launch into specific
sightseeing in the morning.
Day 2 After breakfast in Oslo, take
the ferry to the Bygdøy peninsula
to visit the Kon-Tiki Museum, the
polar ship Fram, the Viking ships,
and the Norwegian Folk Museum.
Day 3 In Oslo visit Frogner Park
to see the Vigeland sculptures and
Edvard Munch paintings. You
should have enough time to see the
Henie-Onstad Foundation art cen-
ter 11km (7 miles) from Oslo.
Return in time to go to the Look-
out Tower and ski-jump at Hol-
menkollen, where you can dine and
enjoy a panoramic view of Oslo.
